Production Associate/Delivery Driver Position
Position Title: Production Associate/Delivery Driver
Status: Part-Time (about 30-35 hours weekly) Non-Exempt
Compensation: Competitive Wage
Responsibilities:
Deliver (about 12 hours)
- Load delivery van
- Deliver orders according to efficient routes
- Provide fantastic support by checking in with customers and providing detailed feedback to the Outreach team
- Manage delivery van’s cleaning and maintenance schedule
Package (about 15 hours)
- Print and apply labels
- Sort and package coffee
- Prepare invoices and shipping labels for daily orders
- Pick and pack orders for delivery or shipment
Maintain (about 6 hours)
- Clean roastery post-production and throughout the day—tasks include dishes, sweeping, equipment cleaning, deep cleaning and other related tasks
- Maintain roastery in “showroom” condition at all times
- Maintain inventory of packaging supplies, merchandise, labels and shipping supplies
Other Tasks (varies)
- Receive deliveries according to protocol
- Assist Production Roaster in roaster cleaning and other assigned tasks
- Represent Bootstrap at events as needed
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate:
- Has 1+ year of similar experience (warehouse, delivery, shipping/receiving, food packaging and/or barista)
- Believes in and lives out the values of hard work, transparency and hospitality
- Has a clean driving record (no violations in the last 5 years)
- Has a passion for doing a great job
- Is detail obsessed
- Is a high school graduate or equivalent
- Has basic computer skills
- Is very efficient
- Is very accurate
- Is looking to grow within the specialty coffee industry—this position is a possible path toward roasting for the right person
- Is looking to take ownership of the position and to grow in responsibilities
- Is looking to grow into a full-time position
- Is flexible/adaptable
- Works well independently
- Works well as part of a team
- Can handle a flexible schedule between approximately 8:00 and 5:00 M-F
